Brush Creek is a natural stream that feeds into Brush Creek Cove at the far northwest corner along Cove Corner Estates.
A couple of the older neighbors remember calling this tributary, “Minnow Creek” due to the abundance of young fish during spring and early summer. This water trail provides a short, fun adventure by kayak, canoe or small flat boat with a troller.
During a part of the winter the creek becomes partially dry as Ameren lowers the lake level, in preparation for the winter melt. The lake fills again spring to fall as the lake is brought to full pool and the natural run off from rains spill life back into the area waters.
